MCD Elektronik presents its universally applicable EOL test system of the “cable tester” type, designed for the reliable testing of assembled cables.
The system has nine“low module“ slots and one “high module“ slot. Each “low module“ contacts specific connector types that can be flexibly combined. The tests include connection tests, short-circuit tests, and, depending on requirements, component tests such as resistance, capacitor or diode, with up to 32 pins per cable end. In addition, specially configured USB programmers enable the programming of existing EEPROMs in the cable connectors. The „high module“ device is specially designed for cables with USB-C connectors and tests USB data transmission in accordance with USB standards.
The modules are automatically addressed via the integrated backplane and recognized by the software, which makes integration completely automated. The eye diagram is evaluated using software approved by the USB organization, ensuring that every cable tested meets USB specifications.
Thanks to the modular concept, new cable types can be tested easily by simply purchasing a suitable module, so MCD Elektronik offers maximum flexibility and safety in cable testing.
