This week, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Marlon Koch, an intern who volunteered to gain insight into our world of measurement and testing technology 🎛️.
✔ To-Do List: Acquire basic knowledge, learn to solder, build/program a weather station
🔍 Areas explored: Manufacturing and development
First, Marlon got to know our company 🏢 and the processes at MCD 🔁. Afterward, the 17-year-old received a crash course in electrical engineering ⚡️, during which he was able to build an electrical circuit with switches 🔲 and lights 💡. Armed with this basic knowledge, he began his week-long project: building our weather station 🌡️ and programming the accompanying software 💻. Throughout all his activities, the student from the Heinrich-Wieland-Schule (technical high school) 🏫 in Pforzheim shone with knowledge, interest, and motivation, and inspired our team led by our trainer Danny Merz 👏.
We wish Marlon all the best in his future professional and personal endeavors and hope that we may one day welcome him as part of our “MCD Young Professionals” 🤝.
